This week we looked at research and brand touchpoints. Our task was to create and design a product that our brand could sell such as merchandise, credit cards and stationary. I decided to design a credit card for my brand:
I wanted to have a deeper look into brand touchpoints and how they can be effectively used. I believe that social media is a crucial touchpoint for a brand today as 74% of people follow brands on different sites, Brands can use social media to show advertisements, share posts and they respond to customers which helps customers to see the brand in a more close and positive light. Another strong touchpoint is through sponsorships and events so that the brand can grow along with the customer base. Strong touchpoints are: advertisements, referrals, reviews and staff who work for the specific brand.
I found this week interesting by looking at how bank brands use merchandise and touchpoints to connect and build relationships with their customers. I also enjoyed creating my own touchpoint with the bank card and applying my brand design to it.
