This week in class we looked at Colour and how it it used within design and everyday life to evoke certain emotions and warnings. We started with creating three Colour combinations that are Monochromatic, Analogous and complimentary:
We continued to look at colour and how it affects people with certain types of colourblindness. People who have protanopia are unable to visualise the colour red while people who have deuteranopia are unable to perceive the colour green, and people who have tritanopia are unable to see the colour blue. We then looked at how websites have to be accessible for everyone and how they get an accessibility rating based on the background and foreground colours. We were able to test different colours using the Colour Contrast Checker:
Our task this week was to pick a musical artist and create a poster using colours that complimented the image and were easy to understand with text, we used a website: https://m3.material.io/theme-builder#/custom to find the right colour combination.
