Our first project of the module was Point, Line and plane. We were tasked with creating designs using points lines and planes, for point we had to choose two of these words: Reflect, Multiply, Disperse, Proximity, Scale and Dominance and create five designs based on them. This was the same for our line designs, our words were: rhythm, frequency, symmetry and asymmetry.

I started by sketching out how i wanted each design to look:

Point

Starting with point, I chose Multiply and Dominance for my designs:

Line

With Line I chose frequency and symmetry for my designs:

Plane

For my plane designs i thought that i would incorporate things around me into my work, so the first design is of my Xbox from perspective, the second design is of my monitor from the front, the third is the design of my wallpaper. for my last two designs I wanted to include something from sports I enjoy watching, the fourth design is of an NBA backboard and the last design is an American football post and a football net:

Research

For my line designs i had a look at different things that involve frequency. I thought about how a heart-beat monitor looks like a frequency. I started my design with one wave and progressively added more for each frame to signify a heart rate speeding up.

For my symmetry line designs i was drawn to all of the buzz and controversy surrounding twitters rebrand into X, although the logo itself is not symmetrical it gave me the idea to use a white x on black for my symmetry line design.
